He looks a little surprised to see you.....or something. Man, I'm beat. It's been pretty crazy around here the last month or so, which explains the sad lack of posting. I've been working in development, and in the middle of last week we decided to switch over to a new program to take advantage of its magical compositing qualities. After making a test multi-plane pan I'd have to say it's looking effin' wicked and I'm excited about the project again (as opposed to using Flash and bashing my head against the wall repeatedly).
...Back to drawing mouth charts.

Totoro Forest Auction tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am PST. I dunno if I'll be able to go, argh... =( Would love to see all the artwork in person!!

Absolutely perfect. Any Sasquatch Researcher worth their plaster mold would appreciate the accuracy of the Native American totem mask. Its pretty poetic too.. already known as an elusive animal shown here out in the open, but still "hiding" behind the Native American mask (myth).
And above all great illustration the leaves and tree fungus in the foregroung providing motion with short horizontal strokes, contrasting to the still longer vertical strokes in the BG.
