Group show at Tenforward Collective. April 20 & 21, 2007 20 Water Street., Vancouver. 8pm. Over 40 artists painting 40 oz Malt liquor bottles to protest Vancouver's termination of malt liquor sales.
Well, I don't drink the stuff myself but the hobos at work seem to like it. Here is mine that took a very long time and possibly cut half a year from my lifespan due to fumes.

This is awesome Clio, it turned out cool!! I did wonder how hard it would be to paint on glass?!?
Thanks mukpuddy! Yeah it was hard. I sprayed a layer of gesso to prime it then scribbled all over it in pencil, then discovered the pencil was very hard to erase. Plus, no control over the paint!!

So cool Clio. I think all bottles should look like that. Did you paint the inside of the bottle or the outside? It's hard to tell from the photos.

Yums - the white is gesso, the rest acrylics & markers on top.

Ooo. I had the opportunity to see a part of this bottle at another blog. When I first laid my eyes on this I thought there someone used some papier-mâché, but my eyes must be playing tricks on me.
What a very dashing and voguish design. It looks terrific, the flow and feel you get from the piece really makes it come alive. Great work.
That bottle is gorgeous! The pinks and reds on the white look very posh together.
